Esquirla FC's Michel Čech proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Esquirla FC from getting a goal against them. Winksele 2016's Ben Dillemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlo Arruta in the 10th minute of play. Benjamin Specht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arlo Arruta in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ben Dillemans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, Arlo Arruta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ben Dillemans. Winksele 2016's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arlo Arruta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Arlo Arruta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlo Arruta in the 25th minute of play forced Winksele 2016's goalkeeper Ben Dillemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Benjamin Specht almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Winksele 2016's Ben Dillemans did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in Esquirla FC's zone, Arnauld Van Eycke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Čech came out of the goal and Arnauld Van Eycke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michel Čech made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Sylven Van Der Meeren sent off a good shot on target. Michel Čech was a little too slow when Sylven Van Der Meeren got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-3. If Arnauld Van Eycke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Esquirla FC's Michel Čech got control of the ball when Quirin Brauer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arlo Arruta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ben Dillemans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlo Arruta in the 46th minute of play. The Winksele 2016 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Esquirla FC were winning 1-3.
When Arlo Arruta came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Esquirla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arlo Arruta couldn't finish the play. Jules Van Den Broeck's late challenge caught a Esquirla FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jules Van Den Broeck helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Winksele 2016 getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jules Van Den Broeck hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the match, Esquirla FC's Arlo Arruta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ben Dillemans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Winksele 2016's goalkeeper Ben Dillemans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Winksele 2016's Jules Van Den Broeck got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 66 minutes, Benjamin Specht mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esquirla FC and the Winksele 2016 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Michel Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnauld Van Eycke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michel Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quirin Brauer in the 69th minute of play. The supporters of Winksele 2016 booed when Esquirla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristen Lijsens didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Esquirla FC's Arlo Arruta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ben Dillemans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnauld Van Eycke in the 76th minute of play forced Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Michel Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Winksele 2016's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Arlo Arruta scored to the left of an out of position Ben Dillemans, making the score, 1-4. Benjamin Specht received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ben Dillemans came out and tried to block the shot, but Benjamin Specht slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 85th minute. Ben Dillemans made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Arlo Arruta sent off a good shot on target. Lukas Caers charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lukas Caers the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Winksele 2016 booed when Esquirla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukas Caers didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Esquirla FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
