But to his dismay, Fulgencio Berdoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 17th minute, Miromir Arendarski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Berdoi in the 18th minute of play. Gigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Berdoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Gigi Buffon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fulgencio Berdoi went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Di Giambattista in the 31st minute of play forced АФК Фонтаните's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Fabio Di Giambattista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Fulgencio Berdoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gigi Buffon. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miromir Arendarski to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Fabio Di Giambattista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Fulgencio Berdoi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gigi Buffon. That made the score 0-7 in the 52 minute of play. Villarreal FK's Štefan Semeno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miromir Arendarski in the 59th minute of play. The supporters of Villarreal FK booed when АФК Фонтаните was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yanek Popnikolov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gigi Buffon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Villarreal FK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
