After 15 minutes FC MANEKENI CLUB's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leontin Vârșan who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Young Ostend United's Leontin Vârșan to fire away a dangerous shot which Alfonso Leoncio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Stanny Van Gorp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Sedzikowski in the 17th minute of play. Stanny Van Gorp was a little too slow when Herbert Sedzikowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Alexi Bakúrdzhiev who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Stanny Van Gorp when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alexi Bakúrdzhiev in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stanny Van Gorp, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Stanny Van Gorp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guaberto Jorrin in the 34th minute. Stanny Van Gorp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herbert Sedzikowski's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. The supporters of Young Ostend United booed when FC MANEKENI CLUB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Traian Nanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexi Bakúrdzhiev got free with Stanny Van Gorp in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
