ASC South United's Erwin Teesing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Jorrin in the 3rd minute of play. Taco Scholte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Leoncio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sly Goodwick in the 7th minute of play forced ASC South United's goalkeeper Erwin Teesing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ASC South United's Erwin Teesing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guaberto Jorrin in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to ASC South United getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Rolf van der Saar hit a great ball. Erwin Teesing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Jorrin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th match minute, ASC South United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taco Scholte to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, ASC South United's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Jorrin came free, but Erwin Teesing reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erwin Teesing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexi Bakúrdzhiev in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Andreas Tamminga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Guaberto Jorrin got free with Erwin Teesing in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, ASC South United's Erwin Teesing got control of the ball when Guaberto Jorrin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guaberto Jorrins short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Erwin Teesing to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 78th minute of the match, Herbert Sedzikowski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Erwin Teesing saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Erwin Teesing had great luck who in the 80thth minute grab hold of the ball when Sly Goodwick from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When Gert van Westerop came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the ASC South United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gert van Westerop couldn't finish the play. 86 minutes into the game, Rolf van der Saar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ASC South United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC MANEKENI CLUB the free kick. In the 87th match minute, ASC South United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf van der Saar to maneuver through the defense. Traian Nanu scored 0-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erwin Teesing, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, ASC South United's Wesley Eringa got a free kick in the 91st minute. After having played for 92 minutes, Guaberto Jorrin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC MANEKENI CLUB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guaberto Jorrin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of FC MANEKENI CLUB booed when ASC South United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position.
