William Weggers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alek Sliepers hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. William Weggers was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dariusz Rekawiczka. Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Van Kamp in the 15th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Royal Antwerp FC got a freekick which was hit by Casper Nilis. After 18 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Dariusz Rekawiczka. After 20 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Alvin Esbjörnsson. 21 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when Luk Van Clynenbreugel came free, but Aurelio Rexino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Mook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelio Rexino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Van Kamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ward Reiniers kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Royal Antwerp FC defense, Nildo Matos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of William Weggers. The Royal Antwerp FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that William Weggers should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Royal Antwerp FC's Ward Reiniers got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 37 minutes into the match, Roderick van Boxel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of William Weggers, 2-0. In the 43rd minute, Roderick van Boxel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Seagulls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Roderick van Boxel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but William Weggers made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Van Kamp was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Roderick van Boxel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of William Weggers. Royal Antwerp FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roderick van Boxel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 60 minutes into the match, Royal Antwerp FC's goal looked a bit too open when Best Štriker came free, but William Weggers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 60 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Seagulls's Best Štriker fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 69 played minutes Royal Antwerp FC got a freekick which was hit by Ward Reiniers. Royal Antwerp FC's William Weggers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roderick van Boxel in the 70th minute of play. Aurelio Rexino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Van Kamp in the 76th minute of play. After 77 played minutes Royal Antwerp FC got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Postens. Best Štriker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 81 played minutes Seagulls got a freekick which was hit by Alvin Esbjörnsson. 85 minutes into the match, Alexandre Van Kamp notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Seagulls's Aurelio Rexino. Aurelio Rexino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute Nildo Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Weggers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aurelio Rexino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luk Van Clynenbreugel in the 89th minute. Roderick van Boxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Seagulls fully deserved thier win.
