After having played for 2 minutes, Antoon Baars managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mosk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antoon Baars was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 3rd match minute, FC Grivata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tzanko Chorbev to maneuver through the defense. After 4 played minutes, Mosk's Henk Appeldoorn shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Thomas Sørensen came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mosk reached it. Thomas Sørensen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Ostermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the match, FC Grivata's goal looked a bit too open when Ger Holke came free, but Thomas Sørensen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Grivata's Thomas Sørensen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roland Ostermann in the 12th minute of play. If Eero Grönholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eero Grönholm received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Martin Soer came out and tried to block the shot, but Eero Grönholm slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. FC Grivata were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Mosk's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kristian Brolin took the corner. Martin Soer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Slavey Kozovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Roland Ostermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Sørensen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Eero Grönholm kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Martin Soer. That made the score 2-0 in the 26 minute of play. If Slavey Kozovski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roland Ostermann in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Grivata's goalkeeper Thomas Sørensen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eero Grönholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Soer having to interfere. A collision led to Mosk getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Henk Appeldoorn hit a great ball. Eero Grönholm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Martin Soer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thomas Sørensen was a little too slow when Antoon Baars got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 2-1. Tzanko Chorbev kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Ger Holke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Sørensen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Tzanko Chorbev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 minutes FC Grivata's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Henk Appeldoorn who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Berend Coopman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thomas Sørensen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, FC Grivata's Thomas Sørensen got control of the ball when Roland Ostermann tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berry Korevaar in the 78th minute of play forced FC Grivata's goalkeeper Thomas Sørensen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henk Appeldoorn kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Mosk's Steven Fransen was substituted for Berend Coopman. After having played for 83 minutes, Slavey Kozovski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martin Soer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Slavey Kozovski, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. FC Grivata's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
