The supporters of Laguna Sunrise FC booed when Zerozinho Youth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Macerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Laguna Sunrise FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Merentiel came free, but Emerson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Zerozinho Youth's Décio Marinho got control of the ball when Diguinho Abreu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 23 minutes, Isaltino Luz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laguna Sunrise FC and the Zerozinho Youth players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Zerozinho Youth's zone, Paulinho Hoffmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Décio Marinho came out of the goal and Paulinho Hoffmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the game, Flávio Freitas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zerozinho Youth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laguna Sunrise FC the free kick. In the 60th minute, Paulinho Hoffmann made a precise shot to the right of Décio Marinho. Zerozinho Youth's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Zerozinho Youth's Décio Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Hoffmann in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Zerozinho Youth getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Saturnino Macerio hit a great ball. In the 67th minute of the match Wellington Ferraz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Décio Marinho skillfully saved the ball. The Laguna Sunrise FC fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Laguna Sunrise FC's Isaltino Luz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Laguna Sunrise FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anderson Ribeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Zerozinho Youth's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Anderson Ribeiro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Laguna Sunrise FC's Emerson Leão did a great save. Décio Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Luz in the 77th minute of play. Décio Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaltino Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
