Robinho Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruy Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Albertinho Pinho scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robinho Alcântara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute, Osmar Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Quandus fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cachaceiros FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
