But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michel de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Gil do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacá Diniz in the 11th minute of play. If Acácio Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 13 minutes in the game, Acácio Porto dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Cacá Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arsenio Manni made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oswaldo Porto in the 19th minute. If Luis Alberto Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cacá Diniz struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Gil do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laus Deo. Cacá Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil do Valle having to interfere. ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's Gil do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kong Ping in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's goal looked a bit too open when Cacá Diniz came free, but Gil do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Laus Deo booed when ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Acácio Porto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gil do Valle was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Duda Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Timur Belyaninov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Peder Mellingen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Laus Deo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ the free kick. After 42 played minutes Laus Deo got a freekick which was hit by Peder Mellingen. Juvenal Corrêa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arsenio Manni came out and tried to block the shot, but Juvenal Corrêa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 44th minute. The ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Laus Deo were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Acácio Porto made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Alberto Moura came free, but Gil do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Acácio Porto got free with Gil do Valle in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arsenio Manni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Porto in the 54th minute of play. ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tião Braga in the 56th minute. After a rather tough play, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's Tião Braga got a free kick in the 57th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Acácio Porto in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gil do Valle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arsenio Manni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juvenal Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Acácio Porto in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gil do Valle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Felipe Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laus Deo made a substitution. Robinho Recife replaced Cacá Diniz. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Vieira during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Laus Deo getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Alfredo Vieira hit a great ball. With a little luck, ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ's Gil do Valle got control of the ball when Robinho Recife tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gil do Valle was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Kong Ping capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kong Ping really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 87th minute, Acácio Porto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duda Peixoto hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Gil do Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Acácio Porto in the 96th minute. The ㄈㄩㄥㄗㄙ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Laus Deo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
