Edmundo Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ismael de Carvalho was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Marcelo Phelipe capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcelo Phelipe really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. When Leon Gržančić came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Coritiba Blazers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Gržančić couldn't finish the play. When Aílton de Brito fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E. Cachoeirinha's protests and gave Aílton de Brito a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Aílton de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Coritiba Blazers FC's Edmundo Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabinho Vinhas in the 20th minute of play. Gustavo Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Coritiba Blazers FC's Marcelo Phelipe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ismael de Carvalho. That made the score 3-0 after 23 minutes of play. Leon Gržančić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the game, Leon Gržančić recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ismael de Carvalho. Leon Gržančić showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. 36 minutes into the match, Fabinho Vinhas notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Coritiba Blazers FC's Edmundo Meirelles. Edmundo Meirelles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcelo Phelipe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leon Gržančić to make the kick off. In the 58thth minute of the game Marcelo Phelipe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.E. Cachoeirinha's Ismael de Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ismael de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Phelipe in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, S.E. Cachoeirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Ramos to maneuver through the defense. S.E. Cachoeirinha's Ismael de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Gaúcho in the 61st minute of play. Leon Gržančić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael de Carvalho having to interfere. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind S.E. Cachoeirinha's goalkeeper Ismael de Carvalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leon Gržančić in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ismael de Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ismael de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute, Leon Gržančić made a precise shot to the right of Ismael de Carvalho. S.E. Cachoeirinha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Phelipe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ismael de Carvalho was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Coritiba Blazers FC fully deserved thier win.
