A collision led to Fúria Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Hortêncio Fernandes hit a great ball. Júlio Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 26th match minute, Fúria Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir de Senna to maneuver through the defense. Fúria Futebol Clube's Júlio Porto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Fúria Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Meira was the one to do the kick off. Júlio Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Carlos Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Júlio Porto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Carlos Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ponta da Praia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ponta da Praia FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
