Cachorrada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Meira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Dominic Ramjohn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gustavo Vides. That made the score 1-1 in the 8 minute of play. Carlos Meira hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominic Ramjohn got free with Gustavo Vides in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Gustavo Vides managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Cachorrada's Segundo Tavio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nicolas Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manoel Zanette in the 17th minute of the match. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cachorrada's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wiliam Santos was slow to take the kick. During this time Ponta da Praia FC's players had a chance to rest. 21 minutes into the match, Cachorrada's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Meira came free, but Nicolas Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Wiliam Santos fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ponta da Praia FC's protests and gave Wiliam Santos a yellow card for diving instead. Wiliam Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Segundo Tavio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachorrada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Segundo Tavio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from Manfredo de Azevedo in the 37th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ponta da Praia FC's Wiliam Santos. Ponta da Praia FC's Gustavo Vides proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Ponta da Praia FC from getting a goal against them. When Cachorrada's Hafiz Nusri in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ponta da Praia FC's goalie prevented a goal. Hafiz Nusri's late challenge caught a Ponta da Praia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dominic Ramjohn made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Fernandinho Viana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Vides was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. 52 minutes into the match, Ponta da Praia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hafiz Nusri came free, but Gustavo Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hafiz Nusri in the 82nd minute of play forced Ponta da Praia FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Vides to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Segundo Tavio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cachorrada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Segundo Tavio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Ponta da Praia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Quintyn to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Vides showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Tavio, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Nicolas Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Meira in the 96th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cachorrada fully deserved thier win.
