Clemente Guerau made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Bartosz Nowak sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Oxarra in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delmar Checa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the match, La Plata's Hilario Gabrio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clemente Guerau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartosz Nowak got free with Clemente Guerau in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Hilario Gabrio managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Plata's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilario Gabrio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clemente Guerau breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute, Paulo Oxarra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Bartosz Nowak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Clemente Guerau. Bartosz Nowak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 29th match minute, Speed fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Diaz to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute of the match, Bartosz Nowak got a very nice opportunity to score, but Clemente Guerau was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Teodosio Diaz kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. La Plata's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Froilan Garcia in the 33rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Felix Fenici got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Clemente Guerau quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. La Plata's Delmar Checa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Gabino in the 34th minute of play. Hilario Gabrio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clemente Guerau read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Carmelo Gabino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. La Plata's Delmar Checa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Gabino in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo Oxarra to make the kick off. When Carmelo Gabino came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Speed fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmelo Gabino couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartosz Nowak in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Guerau saved Speed fc from getting behind. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Bartosz Nowak sped through Speed fc's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Clemente Guerau. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilario Gabrio in the 67th minute of play forced Speed fc's goalkeeper Clemente Guerau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Junyent had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Clemente Guerau. Speed fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Junyent was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Bartosz Nowak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Guerau having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Domingo Acevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 82 minutes, Domingo Ospetsu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Speed fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Ospetsu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Speed fc's goal looked a bit too open when Bartosz Nowak came free, but Clemente Guerau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Speed fc's goal looked a bit too open when Hilario Gabrio came free, but Clemente Guerau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute Bartosz Nowak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Guerau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Bartosz Nowak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Clemente Guerau was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 96 minutes into the game, La Plata's Hilario Gabrio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clemente Guerau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. La Plata had played much better football throughout.
