Gafur Balkanlıoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 8th minute Gafur Balkanlıoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Augusto Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, E.C. Água Santa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdomiro Rosado to maneuver through the defense. If Gafur Balkanlıoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. José Augusto Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gafur Balkanlıoğlu in the 18th minute of play. José Augusto Mineiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gafur Balkanlıoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Gafur Balkanlıoğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Augusto Mineiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Gafur Balkanlıoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Augusto Mineiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. Guarani Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after E.C. Água Santa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Túlio Ceresso took the corner.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adhemar Gaúcho to make the kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Guarani Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos Casemiro was slow to take the kick. During this time E.C. Água Santa's players had a chance to rest. After 56 played minutes E.C. Água Santa got a freekick which was hit by John Seah. After a rather tough play, E.C. Água Santa's 赵阳乐 got a free kick in the 57th minute. Gernando Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Gafur Balkanlıoğlu might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Augusto Mineiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gafur Balkanlıoğlu ran back to his position shaking his head. 63 minutes into the match, Guarani Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Gafur Balkanlıoğlu came free, but José Augusto Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored Guarani Futebol Clube's protests and gave Galindo España a yellow card for diving instead. Galindo España kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gafur Balkanlıoğlu in the 78th minute of play forced Guarani Futebol Clube's goalkeeper José Augusto Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gafur Balkanlıoğlu scored 0-3 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Augusto Mineiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, E.C. Água Santa's Valdomiro Rosado got a free kick in the 85th minute. E.C. Água Santa's Andrézinho Berger was substituted for Gafur Balkanlıoğlu. 89 minutes into the match, Guarani Futebol Clube's goalkeeper José Augusto Mineiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Casemiro. After taking down the ball on E.C. Água Santa's corner Carlos Casemiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and José Augusto Mineiro quite easily take care of the ball. The E.C. Água Santa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing E.C. Água Santa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
