The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's zone, Eliseu Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percival Munhoz came out of the goal and Eliseu Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 10 minutes of play, Torreão OFF's Duarte Coelho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Percival Munhoz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ezequiel Ortiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Percival Munhoz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Zézinho Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 18 minutes Torreão OFF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Breno Tasso who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Torreão OFF's goalie and right to José Pedro Vides. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Torreão OFF's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Pedro Vides during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Torreão OFF made a substitution. Romário Soeiro replaced Ján Griščík. The supporters of Torreão OFF booed when Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Pedro Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zézinho Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tales Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 played minutes Torreão OFF got a freekick which was hit by Kaur Laving. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Percival Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Coelho in the 28th minute of play. Percival Munhoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Zézinho Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Torreão OFF's Ezequiel Ortiz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Percival Munhoz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Torreão OFF's Zézinho Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Salles in the 43rd minute of play. Ezequiel Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Munhoz having to interfere. The Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Torreão OFF were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Ezequiel Ortiz made the kick off in the second half. Zézinho Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tales Pombal in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Torreão OFF getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Eliseu Coelho hit a great ball. Torreão OFF's Michel Hazard was substituted for Eliseu Coelho. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Ortiz got free with Percival Munhoz in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 76 played minutes Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Barbosa. 80 minutes into the match, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Aristizábal came free, but Percival Munhoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaur Laving kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Percival Munhoz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victor Aristizábal's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Kaur Laving recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Torreão OFF played a much better game than Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG and deserved their victory. The Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
