Dieguinho Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dieguinho Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Percival Munhoz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dieguinho Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Percival Munhoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dieguinho Amaral in the 13th minute of play. Tales Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Cayetano Rito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michel Salles in the 16th minute of play forced Paulopolis's goalkeeper Cayetano Rito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cayetano Rito was a little too slow when Tales Pombal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Dieguinho Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Pombal in the 24th minute of play. Percival Munhoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieguinho Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cayetano Rito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Pedro Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Percival Munhoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dieguinho Amaral in the 32nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Tales Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cayetano Rito was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Tales Pombal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Cayetano Rito when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Diamantino Barbosa got a free kick in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dieguinho Amaral to make the kick off. Jonas Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Paulopolis made a substitution. Maurício Motta replaced Marcel Vieira. In the 59th minute Breno Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Rito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diamantino Barbosa hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. If Tales Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. Cayetano Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tales Pombal in the 75th minute of play. Cayetano Rito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Salles in the 77th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurício Motta during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Paulopolis's Maurício Motta got a free kick in the 78th minute. Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breno Tasso in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Ruy Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paulopolis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Michel Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Michel Salles came free, but Cayetano Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute of the match, Henrique Veloso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Percival Munhoz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Cayetano Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Tasso in the 91st minute of play. Dieguinho Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Breno Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cayetano Rito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG fans cheered their team off the field, for while Paulopolis had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
