José Paulo Mello might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anísio Aparecido. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Paulo Mello ran back to his position shaking his head. União dos 7 FC's Anísio Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Paulo Mello in the 16th minute of play. After 17 played minutes União dos 7 FC got a freekick which was hit by Cauan de Medeiros. José Paulo Mello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugeniusz Szkaradek in the 26th minute of play. Claudinei Pirani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Anísio Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anana Pechon kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Iggy Dal Bello took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rogério Ceni. Cercadinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Eugeniusz Szkaradek sped through Cercadinho's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rogério Ceni. 36 minutes into the match, União dos 7 FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Paulo Mello came free, but Anísio Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cercadinho's José Paulo Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute José Paulo Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anísio Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Paulo Mello struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Anísio Aparecido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cercadinho. Rogério Ceni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugeniusz Szkaradek, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. José Paulo Mello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anísio Aparecido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Roger Vianna charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roger Vianna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Cercadinho's Roger Vianna got a free kick in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Anísio Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Paulo Mello in the 53rd minute of play. José Paulo Mello scored 2-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anísio Aparecido, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind União dos 7 FC's goalkeeper Anísio Aparecido, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iggy Dal Bello got free with Rogério Ceni in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cauan de Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cauan de Medeiros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. União dos 7 FC's Attilio La Penna was substituted for Iggy Dal Bello. In the 77th minute, Cauan de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anísio Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valiente Venezian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anísio Aparecido came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cercadinho's Roger Vianna. But to his dismay, Roger Vianna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 86 minutes into the game, Valiente Venezian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Anísio Aparecido was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valiente Venezian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anísio Aparecido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Cauan de Medeiros hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
