Eduardo Baiano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Primo Sans in the 38th minute. Gustavo Martins hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Academia B.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Rodrigues came free, but Vicente Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Inter Gala's Heinz Stalder was substituted for Jaime Rodrigues. The throw-in from Sérgio Novaes in the 64th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Academia B.F.'s Gustavo Martins. Vicente Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heinz Stalder, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Vicente Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Mendonça in the 70th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Academia B.F.'s Wiliam Carioca got a free kick in the 71st minute. Inter Gala's Dênis Cavalcante was substituted for Alfredão Brasil. Academia B.F. made a substitution. Michel Totti replaced Primo Sans. Academia B.F.'s João Francisco Fontes was substituted for Wiliam Carioca. The supporters of Inter Gala booed when Academia B.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiliam Carioca didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Inter Gala's Heinz Stalder slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vicente Catarinense. That made the score 2-2 after 87 minutes of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Michel Totti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inter Gala's Eduardo Baiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Edgar Souto fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inter Gala's protests and gave Edgar Souto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd match minute, Inter Gala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgar Souto to maneuver through the defense. Michel Totti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Richard Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter Gala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Inter Gala played a much better game than Academia B.F. and deserved their victory. The Academia B.F. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
