The audience thought a goal was coming when Anfilogino Genovese got free with Nilson do Vale in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valdir Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 14 minutes, Sydney Terra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mochila FC and the Bandelocos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sydney Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Bandelocos's Valdir Garcia in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mochila FC's goalie prevented a goal. 17 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bart Claveau. When Mochila FC's Bart Claveau in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bandelocos's goalie prevented a goal. Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Laureano in the 22nd minute of play. In the 28th minute of the game Ezequiel Velasco made a throw-in which Daniel Brasil played forward. Valdir Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sílvio Laureano struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Nilson do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mochila FC. After 36 played minutes Bandelocos got a freekick which was hit by Maurinho Vargas. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bandelocos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sydney Terra was slow to take the kick. During this time Mochila FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Sydney Terra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nilson do Vale quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdir Garcia in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frederico Madureira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Valdir Garcia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frederico Madureira was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Bart Claveau notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale. Nilson do Vale was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frederico Madureira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdir Garcia's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Frederico Madureira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 68th minute Bandelocos were awarded a corner. Anísio Teixeira went to the cornerflag to take it. Anísio Teixeira made a great header on Bandelocos's corner, it was just that Mochila FC's Frederico Madureira managed to reach the ball for a save. The Mochila FC fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Mochila FC's Bart Claveau looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Mochila FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Sílvio Laureano hit a great ball. Daniel Brasil hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Nilson do Vale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bart Claveau's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Mochila FC were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Bandelocos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sydney Terra took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Sydney Terra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nilson do Vale quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Stefanos Karamanolis kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, Bart Claveau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Nilson do Vale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 97th minute of the match Bandelocos got a corner. Mochila FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anísio Teixeira ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Bandelocos's Anísio Teixeira to fire away a dangerous shot which Frederico Madureira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mochila FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bandelocos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
