Gilvan Sanches acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 11th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pedro Marinho. Gilvan Sanches came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by BRASIL.Sp's Eustratios Pechlifanis. But to his dismay, Eustratios Pechlifanis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Mario Jardeløv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilvan Sanches made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustratios Pechlifanis in the 21st minute. BRASIL.Sp were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Green Squad FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pedro Marinho took the corner. Gilvan Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Jardeløv, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Mario Jardeløv sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilvan Sanches made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Eustratios Pechlifanis sent off a good shot on target. Mario Jardeløv fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Sanches having to interfere. A collision led to Green Squad FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Tadeu Cosme hit a great ball. With a little luck, Green Squad FC's Gilvan Sanches got control of the ball when Eustratios Pechlifanis tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute, Eustratios Pechlifanis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute Tadeu Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Guilherme Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Almir Matos in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilvan Sanches saved Green Squad FC from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the Green Squad FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for BRASIL.Sp.
