Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ronaldinho Bruchon kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in Green Squad FC's zone, Ronaldinho Bruchon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilvan Sanches came out of the goal and Ronaldinho Bruchon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norbert Balonek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeu Cosme in the 4th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Green Squad FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Faiko came free, but Gilvan Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Faiko in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilvan Sanches saved Green Squad FC from getting behind. After having played for 11 minutes, Tadeu Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Green Squad FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeu Cosme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, Tadeu Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 18 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Cosme came free, but Norbert Balonek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renato Messias kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Leonardo Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadeu Cosme made a great header on Green Squad FC's corner, it was just that Goianésia E.C's Norbert Balonek managed to reach the ball for a save. Norbert Balonek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Leonardo Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 36th minute, Gonçalo Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Norbert Balonek successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ronaldinho Bruchon might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilvan Sanches. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ronaldinho Bruchon ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Leonardo Barros made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Ulisses Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Balonek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norbert Balonek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Tadeu Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 61st minute Tadeu Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Balonek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Leonardo Barros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Norbert Balonek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Norbert Balonek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Maia in the 74th minute of play. Gilvan Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Bruchon in the 75th minute of play. When Diego Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goianésia E.C's protests and gave Diego Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Green Squad FC booed when Goianésia E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Goianésia E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeu Cosme came free, but Norbert Balonek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Leonardo Barros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Green Squad FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 92 played minutes Green Squad FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Barros. Green Squad FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Goianésia E.C for a fine match.
