With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Teixeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the match, Planet Caravan's goal looked a bit too open when Jacobo Casado came free, but Jonathan Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Jacobo Casado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Teixeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 minutes Planet Caravan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niilo Mikkola who took care of the corner kick. After 44 played minutes Planet Caravan got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Félix. After having played for 45 minutes, Jacobo Casado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SeleSantos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacobo Casado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Benjamim Jacinto made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Törnqvist in the 55th minute of play forced Planet Caravan's goalkeeper Jonathan Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Francisco Furtado hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Jonathan Teixeira made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Daniel Montenegro sent off a good shot on target. Gilvan Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
