Inacio F.C.'s Gwidon Babicki got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oscar Hermes hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Flavio Silviano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Nel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Petardo Futebol e Surf booed when Inacio F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 played minutes Inacio F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gwidon Babicki. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Vasconcelos in the 25th minute of play forced Inacio F.C.'s goalkeeper João Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Vasconcelos in the 27th minute of play. Petardo Futebol e Surf's Flavio Silviano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Toscano in the 28th minute of play. The corner led Petardo Futebol e Surf's Thomas Pihlblad to fire away a dangerous shot which João Oliveira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Telmo Vasconcelos was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Inacio F.C.'s João Oliveira got control of the ball when Telmo Vasconcelos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Petardo Futebol e Surf's Jeremias Moreira was substituted for Telmo Vasconcelos. João Oliveira made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Jefferson Donato sent off a good shot on target. Jeremias Moreira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of João Oliveira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 86th minute, Joel Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the game, Jefferson Donato recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of João Oliveira. João Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petardo Futebol e Surf succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Inacio F.C. had controlled the match.
