Gu Zhan Wei stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Quirino's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Felipe Nerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Erik Magnusson made in the 16th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Armando Barrera however managed to control. With a little luck, Academia Santista CIMZ's Gu Zhan Wei got control of the ball when Jacinto Quirino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Academia Santista CIMZ's Gu Zhan Wei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Quirino in the 20th minute of play. Edgard Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute of the match, Jacinto Quirino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gu Zhan Wei saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 31 minutes in the game Marcelo Queiroz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Leopoldo Vieira. Amílton Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Queiroz made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Felipe Nerio. Chicão de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Nerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Jacinto Quirino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A Gryffindor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. C.A Gryffindor's Marquinhos Filho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marcelo Queiroz in the 43 minute of the game. C.A Gryffindor's Marquinhos Filho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Marcelo Queiroz, made in the 46th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Amílton Pereira to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Academia Santista CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Quirino came free, but Gu Zhan Wei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Academia Santista CIMZ booed when C.A Gryffindor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. The audience was convinced that Jacinto Quirino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gu Zhan Wei was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Edgard Mangueira struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Gu Zhan Wei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A Gryffindor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Quirino in the 65th minute of play forced Academia Santista CIMZ's goalkeeper Gu Zhan Wei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Jacinto Quirino notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Academia Santista CIMZ's Gu Zhan Wei. Gu Zhan Wei was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th minute, Felipe Nerio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chicão de Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Edgard Mangueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gu Zhan Wei. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Mangueira ran back to his position shaking his head. C.A Gryffindor's Paredes Pedrera was substituted for Marquinhos Filho. C.A Gryffindor's Guilherme Mazer was substituted for Jacinto Quirino. Gu Zhan Wei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Mazer in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, C.A Gryffindor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Mazer to maneuver through the defense. If Amílton Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gu Zhan Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Mazer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Academia Santista CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme Mazer came free, but Gu Zhan Wei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomé de Alcântara hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Vladimir Tande from long distance, 92 minutes into the match, got Chicão de Azevedo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 93rd minute, Guilherme Mazer made a precise shot to the right of Gu Zhan Wei. Academia Santista CIMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. When the referee ended the match the C.A Gryffindor players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
