In the 10th minute Nelsinho Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Moura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pindorama's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cafu Martins in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Ortle in the 20th minute of play forced Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mané Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Gong Xiong Fan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Ortle in the 23rd minute of play. C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s Victor Ortle got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Luisão Rocha notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s Betinho Moura. Betinho Moura was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hortêncio Duarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Ortle, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sid Lampard couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victor Ortle made a kick off. Hortêncio Duarte made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Victor Ortle sent off a good shot on target. Pindorama's Hortêncio Duarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Lampard in the 53rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Victor Ortle took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Hortêncio Duarte to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. booed when Pindorama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s Hortêncio Duarte threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sid Lampard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hortêncio Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sid Lampard in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Nelsinho Meira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pindorama fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. 71 minutes into the match, Pindorama's goalkeeper Hortêncio Duarte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Ortle. Sid Lampard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sid Lampard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hortêncio Duarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After 73 minutes Pindorama's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Victor Ortle who took care of the corner kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Victor Ortle kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hortêncio Duarte. That made the score 2-4 in the 75 minute of play. C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. made a substitution. Vágner Severo replaced Victor Ortle. When Sid Lampard came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sid Lampard couldn't finish the play. Vágner Severo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Bernardo Terra hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Hortêncio Duarte was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Sid Lampard capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sid Lampard really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. Eduardo Magnin kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Cafu Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. C.D PAVILHAO 9 F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
