Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Tomé Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Peres in the 9th minute of play. In the 14th minute Paulo Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomé Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho de Carvalho in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute of the match Papunhas EC got a corner. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After taking down the ball on Papunhas EC's corner Elói Aparecido fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tomé Oliveira quite easily take care of the ball. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Ismael Nazario Serre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 24 minutes, Valdemar de Moraes made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Tomé Oliveira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ismael Nazario Serre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magno Nunes's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. After 82 minutes Papunhas EC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sandro Alvarenga who took care of the corner kick. Paulo Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Oliveira having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Papunhas EC's Inácio Matorin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tomé Oliveira. Tomé Oliveira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Tomé Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar de Moraes in the 94th minute of play. Tomé Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 98th minute, Inácio Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Papunhas EC's performance. The match ended with a win for Papunhas EC.
