The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio Santo André's goalkeeper Ladislav Telepovský, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vladimir do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Gabriel Cabral having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Ivo Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grêmio Santo André's Ladislav Telepovský proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Santo André from getting a goal against them. In the 15th match minute, Vae Victis!! was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. Tiago Gabriel Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Levandovskiy in the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to Vae Victis!! getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Luís Eduardo Mangueira hit a great ball. Vae Victis!!'s Tiago Gabriel Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal dos Santos in the 21st minute of play. In the 21st minute, Juvenal dos Santos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiago Gabriel Cabral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Santo André's zone, Délio Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislav Telepovský came out of the goal and Délio Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Levandovskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Tiago Gabriel Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agron Elmasllari could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Ladislav Telepovský made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juvenal dos Santos in the 37th minute of play forced Vae Victis!!'s goalkeeper Tiago Gabriel Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Vladimir do Vale got free in front of the goal in the 37th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Tiago Gabriel Cabral was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ladislav Telepovský made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Agron Elmasllari sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute Juvenal dos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Gabriel Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Carlos de Salles hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Vae Victis!!'s Tiago Gabriel Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juvenal dos Santos in the 44th minute of play. Tiago Gabriel Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir do Vale in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Grêmio Santo André were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ladislav Telepovský stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agron Elmasllari's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 62nd minute Agron Elmasllari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislav Telepovský saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiago Gabriel Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir do Vale in the 66th minute of play. Grêmio Santo André's Ladislav Telepovský played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio Tasso in the 69th minute of play. After 71 minutes Grêmio Santo André's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was José Carlos de Salles who took care of the corner kick. Ladislav Telepovský showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Filipe Catarinense took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ladislav Telepovský. Ladislav Telepovský dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Juvenal dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Gabriel Cabral having to interfere. Filipe Catarinense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ladislav Telepovský read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Santiago Oliverio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Délio Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislav Telepovský having to interfere. Ladislav Telepovský showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. The supporters of Vae Victis!! booed when Grêmio Santo André was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas-Ignacio Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Vae Victis!! getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Délio Tasso hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Lucas-Ignacio Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Vae Victis!!'s zone, Vladimir do Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiago Gabriel Cabral came out of the goal and Vladimir do Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ladislav Telepovský made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Magalhães in the 96th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
