Ulysses Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 余永川 in the 22nd minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Fabiano Di Pasquale in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Valeriu Toacsen. Calopsita EC's Ulysses Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 余永川 in the 31st minute of play. 余永川 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulysses Novaes having to make a save. Ulysses Novaes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 余永川's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's zone, Anak Dewa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arthur Bufi came out of the goal and Anak Dewa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Semih Şentürk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 38 minutes, Semih Şentürk made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gwidon Cwojdak in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulysses Novaes saved Calopsita EC from getting behind. Ulysses Novaes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 余永川, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Douglas Botelho was substituted for Hélder Lara. After a defensive mix-up in Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's zone, Semih Şentürk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabiano Di Pasquale's late challenge caught a Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabiano Di Pasquale helped the player get up and apologised. In the 98th minute, Fabiano Di Pasquale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube had won after a very even match.
