Dagoberto de Lima took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Quilino Colillas. Quebra Ossos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, America FC's Maicon Arruda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Quilino Colillas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 11th minute America FC were awarded a corner. Jonas Dracena went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Dracena in the 15th minute of play forced Quebra Ossos FC's goalkeeper Quilino Colillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuri Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Maicon Arruda reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Quilino Colillas. The goal made the score 1-0. The audience was convinced that Jonas Dracena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quilino Colillas was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Quilino Colillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Yuri Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Quilino Colillas made a huge save. After 46 played minutes America FC got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Arruda. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maicon Arruda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Quebra Ossos FC's protests and gave Ronaldão dos Santos a yellow card for diving instead. Ronaldão dos Santos hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Jonas Dracena took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Quilino Colillas. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maicon Arruda in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quilino Colillas saved Quebra Ossos FC from getting behind. Quilino Colillas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Arruda in the 83rd minute of the match. The supporters of Quebra Ossos FC booed when America FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86thth minute of the game Jonas Dracena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quebra Ossos FC's Quilino Colillas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maicon Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
