Guga de Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Luke Clist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Qarabulud La Forgia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Guga de Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Qarabulud La Forgia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guga de Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Jeremias Luzea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras's Roderick Oosterhof got a free kick in the 29th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Guga de Azevedo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Xandeco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Qarabulud La Forgia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Xandeco FC's zone, Luke Clist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guga de Azevedo came out of the goal and Luke Clist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Palmeiras made a substitution. Waldemar Jacinto replaced Michel Sergipano. The wind increased when Edmund Balkiewicz made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute Qarabulud La Forgia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guga de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Xandeco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Martins to maneuver through the defense. Guga de Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Qarabulud La Forgia's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. The audience was convinced that Qarabulud La Forgia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guga de Azevedo was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Qarabulud La Forgia couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Palmeiras had played much better football throughout.
