The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Leripe Lifestyle:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cambridge Esporte Clube:s goal. When the match had been going on for 6 minutes, Cambridge Esporte Clube's Elivélton Aparecido got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Paredes Soberano. Cambridge Esporte Clube's Sérgio Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Carlos Cervantes in the 13th minute of play. Sérgio Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Leripe Lifestyle were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Cambridge Esporte Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juan-Carlos Cervantes took the corner. Dino de Salles's late challenge caught a Leripe Lifestyle's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dino de Salles helped the player get up and apologised. Sérgio Trevisan had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Juan-Carlos Cervantes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Sérgio Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Passos in the 22nd minute of the match. Leripe Lifestyle were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Cambridge Esporte Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juan-Carlos Cervantes took the corner. After taking down the ball on Leripe Lifestyle's corner Uluç Safa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sérgio Trevisan quite easily take care of the ball. Sérgio Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardinho Passos in the 26th minute of the match. Sérgio Trevisan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan-Carlos Cervantes in the 28th minute of play. In the 28th minute Juan-Carlos Cervantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sérgio Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Juan-Carlos Cervantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Bernardinho Passos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sérgio Trevisan was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Zé Carlos Machado was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Cambridge Esporte Clube's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cambridge Esporte Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Juan-Carlos Cervantes was slow to take the kick. During this time Leripe Lifestyle's players had a chance to rest. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Elivélton Aparecido made the kick off in the second half. When Cambridge Esporte Clube's Elivélton Aparecido in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leripe Lifestyle's goalie prevented a goal. If Juan-Carlos Cervantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 61 played minutes, Cambridge Esporte Clube's Dino de Salles shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paredes Soberano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cambridge Esporte Clube reached it. 62 minutes into the game, Juan-Carlos Cervantes lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Sérgio Trevisan. Bernardinho Passos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Trevisan having to make a save. Sérgio Trevisan made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Bernardinho Passos sent off a good shot on target. Elivélton Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paredes Soberano having to interfere. Dino de Salles got his second yellow card in the match during the 75th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Dino de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Leripe Lifestyle made a substitution. Valdir Cabral replaced Romulo Tarin. In the 78th minute, Dino de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cambridge Esporte Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Bernardinho Passos scored to the left of an out of position Sérgio Trevisan, making the score, 1-3. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Sérgio Trevisan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the final whistle sounded Leripe Lifestyle left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cambridge Esporte Clube.
