The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 9 minutes into the match, Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Dinei Leme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amílton Bezerra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bebeto da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Amílton Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Germano made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Pedro Tasso sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Nunes FC defense, Dinei Leme kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amílton Bezerra. The Nunes FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amílton Bezerra should have stopped the shot. Dinei Leme blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amílton Bezerra having to make a save. 26 minutes into the match, Pedro Tasso notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Carlos Germano. Carlos Germano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fábio Barral hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 40 minutes, Glauco Munhoz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Donzela de Ferro FBPA and the Nunes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th match minute, Donzela de Ferro FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. Luizinho Fantini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Germano. Donzela de Ferro FBPA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Oskar Åkerberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Nunes FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Manuel Pasqual in the 61st minute. Dinei Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Bezerra having to interfere. If Luizinho Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Donzela de Ferro FBPA's Bebeto da Costa got a free kick in the 71st minute. The supporters of Nunes FC booed when Donzela de Ferro FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Dinei Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Tasso in the 78th minute of play forced Donzela de Ferro FBPA's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinei Leme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amílton Bezerra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Dany-Adams Mortier kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Nunes FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Dinei Leme scored to the left of an out of position Amílton Bezerra, making the score, 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Donzela de Ferro FBPA eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
