In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Juvenal Sergipano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, BAAS FC's goalkeeper Tamer Kutcan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amado Froila. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after BAAS FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Célio Fontes took the corner. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Célio Fontes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tamer Kutcan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Thomás Borges hit a great ball. BAAS FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Clemente Zanussi scored to the left of an out of position Tamer Kutcan, making the score, 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, BAAS FC's goalkeeper Tamer Kutcan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Célio Fontes. In the 35th minute, Valentim Leão made a precise shot to the right of Juvenal Sergipano. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Valentim Leão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juvenal Sergipano having to make a save. After 40 played minutes BAAS FC got a freekick which was hit by Xavi Hernandez. Humberto Severo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, BAAS FC's Vicente Figueiredo got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Célio Fontes was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Valentim Leão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juvenal Sergipano. That made the score 1-2 in the 52 minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, BAAS FC's Valentim Leão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Sergipano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thomás Borges made in the 60th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Nae Buteanu immediately put the ball in play. The crowd rose to their feet as Valentim Leão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juvenal Sergipano. That made the score 1-3 in the 62 minute of play. Valentim Leão struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Juvenal Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BAAS FC. 70 minutes into the match, Valentim Leão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Juvenal Sergipano, 1-4. BAAS FC's Tamer Kutcan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Froila in the 75th minute of play. The supporters of CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE booed when BAAS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE made a substitution. Kiko Tande replaced Célio Fontes. In the 77th match minute, BAAS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Abreu to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Valentim Leão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juvenal Sergipano. That made the score 1-5 in the 81 minute of play. Humberto Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Lobo Zornoza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamer Kutcan having to interfere. Valentim Leão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Juvenal Sergipano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's zone, Valentim Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Sergipano came out of the goal and Valentim Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The BAAS FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
