In the 5thth minute of the game Maurinho Valadares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santo Amaro AC's Hudson Arósio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maurinho Valadares in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hudson Arósio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Raí Bezerra charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raí Bezerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 7 played minutes Santo Amaro AC got a freekick which was hit by Raí Bezerra. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Valadares in the 8th minute of play forced Santo Amaro AC's goalkeeper Hudson Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Eduard Polozov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santo Amaro AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 16th minute Cipriano Hermes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Augusto Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Amaro AC's Hudson Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurinho Valadares in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind MUSHIBA FC's goalkeeper João Augusto Quintal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. João Augusto Quintal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wincent Pawlik went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of MUSHIBA FC booed when Santo Amaro AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Maurinho Valadares came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the MUSHIBA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurinho Valadares couldn't finish the play. João Augusto Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Hermes in the 29th minute of the match. Ernani Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Juan de Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hudson Arósio having to make a save. Maurinho Valadares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hudson Arósio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After 38 played minutes MUSHIBA FC got a freekick which was hit by Natã Paiva. João Augusto Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wincent Pawlik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MUSHIBA FC's João Augusto Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincent Pawlik in the 41st minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Hermes to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Carlos Eduardo Marquez put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of João Augusto Quintal. Raí Bezerra got a throw-in 54 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Wincent Pawlik. In the 57th minute of the match, Wincent Pawlik tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Augusto Quintal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Eduard Polozov's late challenge caught a MUSHIBA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduard Polozov helped the player get up and apologised. Eduard Polozov hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 60th match minute, MUSHIBA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. Santo Amaro AC's Carlos Eduardo Marquez shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 61st minute of play. The shot was stopped by João Augusto Quintal but with some difficulty. 62 minutes into the match, MUSHIBA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Polozov came free, but João Augusto Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurinho Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hudson Arósio having to interfere. In the 66th minute of the game Raí Bezerra made a throw-in which Carlos Alberto Batista played forward. The supporters of MUSHIBA FC booed when Santo Amaro AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Bezerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, MUSHIBA FC's Maurinho Valadares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hudson Arósio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th play minute Cipriano Hermes came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised João Augusto Quintal. 1-4. Dida Mesquita hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. MUSHIBA FC's João Augusto Quintal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Polozov in the 88th minute of play. Hudson Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Valadares in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Santo Amaro AC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
