With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gomez Periquet in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Feliciano Duval saved River LOA from getting behind. Feliciano Duval made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gomez Periquet in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of ATC booed when River LOA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saturnino Dell´Orto didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to ATC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. John Greña hit a great ball. In the 28th minute Antonio Repiso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliciano Duval saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 played minutes River LOA got a freekick which was hit by Enric Malfanti. River LOA's Rövşän Färruxov quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Valentine Lance, made in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 36th minute of the match River LOA got a corner. ATC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabrizio Greco ran over to the corner to take the kick. John Greña hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Amancio Gorostizaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Black Pink read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Gomez Periquet made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Gomez Periquet notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of River LOA's Feliciano Duval. Feliciano Duval was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Feliciano Duval took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gomez Periquet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabrizio Greco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Black Pink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
