After a rather tough play, River LOA's Saturnino Dell´Orto got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Perez Guedella was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 22nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. River LOA's Feliciano Duval played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Maia in the 35th minute of play. 35 minutes in the game, Vito Maia dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Club Deportivo Logroño's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Chan Abeijon scored to the left of an out of position Honorato Dimo, making the score, 3-0. In the 44th minute, Chan Abeijon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Honorato Dimo. The goal made the score 4-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chan Abeijon to make the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Club Deportivo Logroño fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Amancio Gorostizaga walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Club Deportivo Logroño's Honorato Dimo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chan Abeijon in the 61st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chan Abeijon in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Honorato Dimo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chan Abeijon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Honorato Dimo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Vito Maia sped through River LOA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Feliciano Duval. Chan Abeijon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the River LOA defense, Vito Maia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Feliciano Duval. The River LOA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Feliciano Duval should have stopped the shot. 89 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Logroño's goal looked a bit too open when Ever Aspillaga came free, but Honorato Dimo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Logroño's goal looked a bit too open when Ever Aspillaga came free, but Honorato Dimo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
