Sebastian Enekoitz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Enzo-Nicolás Pérez almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso did a great save. Qin Kun Xi took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karl-Johan Ahlqvist. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. João Garcia got a throw-in 15 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Enzo-Nicolás Pérez. Qin Kun Xi scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Karl-Johan Ahlqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Black Rose 1979 defense, Qin Kun Xi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Johan Ahlqvist. The Black Rose 1979 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Johan Ahlqvist should have stopped the shot. Black Rose 1979 were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Velez sarsfield's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sebastian Enekoitz took the corner. A throw-in in the 46th minute of the game was made by Joel Venceslao with Enzo-Nicolás Pérez as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Qin Kun Xi made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaufred Betanzos in the 57th minute of play forced Velez sarsfield's goalkeeper Narciso Frechoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narciso Frechoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from D.J. Gol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaufred Betanzos in the 62nd minute of play forced Velez sarsfield's goalkeeper Narciso Frechoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Velez sarsfield's Narciso Frechoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Velez sarsfield from getting a goal against them. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Velez sarsfield's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sebastian Enekoitz was slow to take the kick. During this time Black Rose 1979's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Black Rose 1979 booed when Velez sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Pico didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Narciso Frechoso managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Black Rose 1979's Davor Šuker fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Narciso Frechoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davor Šuker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Frechoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davor Šuker's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute Black Rose 1979 were awarded a corner. Sebastian Enekoitz went to the cornerflag to take it. Karl-Johan Ahlqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Regis in the 87th minute of play. Qin Kun Xi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
