Peñaloza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aquiles Xabat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aquiles Xabat made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Aquiles Xabat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raul Pueblo was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Peñaloza's Anastasio Monte got a free kick in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Xabat in the 89th minute of play forced Camarón Bombay's goalkeeper Raul Pueblo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anastasio Monte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Enrique Cristofor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
