In the 14thth minute of the game Feliciano Baumar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grütly's Epifanio Boniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute, Fidel Gomesano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Scofield's Alvaro Valente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Gomesano in the 21st minute of play. Feliciano Baumar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Epifanio Boniel came out and tried to block the shot, but Feliciano Baumar slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 25th minute. Epifanio Boniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliciano Baumar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Grütly's Alejandro Marin got a free kick in the 28th minute. Feliciano Baumar took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Epifanio Boniel. Epifanio Boniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When Scofield's Feliciano Baumar in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Grütly's goalie prevented a goal. 44 minutes into the game, Scofield's Feliciano Baumar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Epifanio Boniel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After some careless play in the Grütly defense, Feliciano Baumar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Epifanio Boniel. The Grütly fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Epifanio Boniel should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliciano Baumar made a kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Scofield's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Frichoso came free, but Alvaro Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Grütly's zone, Feliciano Baumar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Epifanio Boniel came out of the goal and Feliciano Baumar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, Grütly's goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Baumar came free, but Epifanio Boniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valerius Ginsberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grütly's Feliberto Batista was substituted for Tadeo Frichoso. Epifanio Boniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cayetano Urdin in the 72nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute Valerius Ginsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Boniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute of the match Scofield got a corner. Grütly's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alto Roca ran over to the corner to take the kick. Scofield were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Grütly's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alto Roca took the corner. The corner led Scofield's Alto Roca to fire away a dangerous shot which Epifanio Boniel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Scofield's Alvaro Valente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Batista in the 98th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Scofield had won after a very even match.
