Alfonso Mel charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Imperio Cordobés FC booed when Punta Alvear was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bogdan Gopov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Imperio Cordobés FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Eleazar came free, but Tales Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Quinton hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Imperio Cordobés FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Iratxo came free, but Tales Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Imperio Cordobés FC's Tales Falcão got control of the ball when Patricio Iratxo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th minute, Rogelio Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tales Falcão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Iratxo in the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Ermegildo Heriberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tales Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tales Falcão came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Punta Alvear's Patricio Iratxo. But to his dismay, Patricio Iratxo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 68 played minutes Imperio Cordobés FC got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Birjaio. Tales Falcão made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Patricio Iratxo sent off a good shot on target. Imperio Cordobés FC's Tales Falcão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Imperio Cordobés FC from getting a goal against them. Imperio Cordobés FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ermegildo Heriberto 79 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Tales Falcão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Iratxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Higinio Enekoitz lost his temper 87 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 87th minute, one of Imperio Cordobés FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Imperio Cordobés FC. Tales Falcão had in the 89thth minute some difficulties stopping Jacinto Eleazar's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jacinto Eleazar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Tales Falcão made a huge save. When the match was over Punta Alvear could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Imperio Cordobés FC throughout the match.
