An unexpected shot in the 3rd minute by Su Ting Han got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Su Ting Han who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Emilian Martinez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Kaplan booed when El Colesterol FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Beturian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nereo Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Cordarrol, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Su Ting Han in the 11th minute of play forced Kaplan's goalkeeper Emilian Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, El Colesterol FC's goal looked a bit too open when Damião Granja came free, but Nereo Liher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. El Colesterol FC's Nereo Liher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damião Granja in the 23rd minute of play. Nereo Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damião Granja in the 24th minute of play. Nereo Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Cordarrol, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Su Ting Han in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilian Martinez saved Kaplan from getting behind. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Su Ting Han got free with Emilian Martinez in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 46th minute, El Colesterol FC's Su Ting Han dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Su Ting Han to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for El Colesterol FC! 53 minutes into the match, Ren Zhi Ke notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of El Colesterol FC's Nereo Liher. Nereo Liher was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
