Camilo Gamus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Rene Eduino made a huge save. Edgar Jakubiak who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Herminio Arnas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Mariano Caetano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herminio Arnas was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 66th minute Mariano Caetano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Arnas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
