An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Maria in the 14th minute of play forced Rivermania FC's goalkeeper Severino Hulberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Urbano Mendiko in the 17th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rivermania FC's Jacobo Santxol. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erasmo Lorencio got free with Ariel Ponc in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute Rivermania FC were awarded a corner. Victor Bazkoare went to the cornerflag to take it. Ariel Ponc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacobo Santxol in the 22nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Bazkoare got free with Ariel Ponc in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute, Jacobo Santxol got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Rivermania FC's goal looked a bit too open when James Madison came free, but Severino Hulberto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Mauricio Macías got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Tiniebra made in the 44th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jacobo Santxol.

The wind increased when Mauricio Macías made the kick off in the second half. Mauricio Macías's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severino Hulberto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Severino Hulberto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mauricio Macías showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 58 minute of play. With his leg Severino Hulberto managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Villa Mitre City's Mauricio Macías fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ariel Ponc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ana Tatangelo's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. A collision led to Villa Mitre City getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. James Madison hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Ana Tatangelo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Ponc was relentless in the 100th minute of the game. Although Rivermania FC had been in control for most of the match, Villa Mitre City still came away with the win.
