An unexpectedly hard shot by Mei Chong Kang in the 35th minute of play forced Real Espartillar's goalkeeper Gavino Iratxo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute Ciprian Răuțchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Ulizes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Llorian in the 41st minute of play forced CERPA's goalkeeper Silvestre Ulizes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciprian Răuțchi to make the kick off. Jaques Custermans's late challenge caught a CERPA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
