The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ubaldo Raphael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Astor Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliciano Elodio having to interfere. Celestino Millano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Torcato Modesto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emanuel Cilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliciano Elodio having to interfere. Feliciano Elodio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 徐光辉 in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Desiderio Ostargi in the 18th minute of play forced Club Atletico Lanus's goalkeeper Torcato Modesto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Feliciano Elodio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Cilio in the 20th minute of the match. Feliciano Elodio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Astor Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, 1989 Blxsk's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Sancho came free, but Feliciano Elodio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guo Xi Chao's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Torcato Modesto firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Desiderio Ostargi in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torcato Modesto saved Club Atletico Lanus from getting behind. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind 1989 Blxsk's goalkeeper Feliciano Elodio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Feliciano Elodio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Desiderio Ostargi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Torcato Modesto was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atletico Lanus's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcos Ekhi was slow to take the kick. During this time 1989 Blxsk's players had a chance to rest.
