Nery Pumpido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marciano Cambiasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Genaro Cambiasso in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nery Pumpido saved Tabossi from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Tabossi's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Cambiasso came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tabossi's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Cambiasso in the 20th minute of play. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Cambiasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquin Cambiasso in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nery Pumpido saved Tabossi from getting behind. The BAIRES fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when BAIRES's Joaquin Cambiasso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Tabossi's Tadeo Eneas in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BAIRES's goalie prevented a goal. Tadeo Eneas scored 1-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anibal Cambiasso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 44 played minutes Tabossi got a freekick which was hit by Albino Sabin. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tadeo Eneas to make the kick off. Tabossi's Ramiro Isusko got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 53 minutes into the match, BAIRES's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Isusko came free, but Anibal Cambiasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, BAIRES's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Eneas came free, but Anibal Cambiasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tabossi's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benedicto Lauro in the 58th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marciano Cambiasso got free with Nery Pumpido in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tadeo Eneas charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadeo Eneas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tabossi's Rolando Botello was substituted for Tadeo Eneas. In the 67th match minute, Tabossi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Eneas to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Tabossi getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Haroldo Chus hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Nery Pumpido successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nery Pumpido came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by BAIRES's Genaro Cambiasso. But to his dismay, Genaro Cambiasso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Sebastian Cambiasso hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes, Tabossi's Benedicto Lauro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anibal Cambiasso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tabossi reached it. In the 88th minute, Haroldo Chus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th match minute, Tabossi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedicto Lauro to maneuver through the defense. BAIRES's Anibal Cambiasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Botello in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. BAIRES walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
