When Eleuterio Fiz fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Florida Gulf Coast's protests and gave Eleuterio Fiz a yellow card for diving instead. Nichifor Nicolae showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lukáš Katačić, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After the first half TheBambiTooFurious were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lukáš Katačić to make the kick off. Florida Gulf Coast's Luis Nardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grzegorz Rasiak in the 57th minute of play. With a little luck, Florida Gulf Coast's Luis Nardo got control of the ball when Grzegorz Rasiak tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Efrain Merexildo got free with Luis Nardo in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute of the match TheBambiTooFurious got a corner. Florida Gulf Coast's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Octavio Toro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Octavio Toro made a great header on TheBambiTooFurious's corner, it was just that Florida Gulf Coast's Luis Nardo managed to reach the ball for a save. Efrain Merexildo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Nardo having to interfere. Eleuterio Fiz kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Efrain Merexildo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luis Nardo having to make a save. Luis Nardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Merexildo in the 92nd minute of play. Efrain Merexildo might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luis Nardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Efrain Merexildo ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched TheBambiTooFurious eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
