Maximino Constancio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Club Deportivo Álvarez's Maximino Constancio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Helström in the 25th minute of play. Jörn Helström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximino Constancio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Osvaldo Oihan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Haakon á Borg made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Habeeb Shevchenko got free with Haakon á Borg in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's goalkeeper Haakon á Borg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Habeeb Shevchenko. 40 minutes in the game, Habeeb Shevchenko dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The supporters of Club Deportivo Álvarez booed when Cura del Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Fresco didn't get a good kick on the ball.
