The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Yrigoyen.F.C booed when Cura del Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Domenec didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Matías Suárez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Haakon á Borg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Cura del Futbol booed when Yrigoyen.F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaston Ilazki didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 minutes, Denko Kotzov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yrigoyen.F.C and the Cura del Futbol players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Yrigoyen.F.C's Denko Kotzov got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 28th minute, Jörn Helström reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Petr Školník. The goal made the score 1-1. The throw-in from Lucio Domenec in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Yrigoyen.F.C's Nestor Checa. Cura del Futbol's Haakon á Borg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Suárez in the 40th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Gaston Ilazki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Jörn Helström made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Cura del Futbol's Haakon á Borg got control of the ball when Matías Suárez tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 54th match minute, Cura del Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jimeno Geofredo to maneuver through the defense. Lucio Domenec hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Jörn Helström struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Petr Školník didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cura del Futbol. Petr Školník made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörn Helström in the 75th minute of play. Petr Školník took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Helström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cura del Futbol's Lucio Domenec quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Atilano Sotil, made in the 86th minute of the game. With a little luck, Cura del Futbol's Haakon á Borg got control of the ball when Matías Suárez tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from Gaston Ilazki in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cura del Futbol's Jimeno Geofredo. After 94 played minutes Yrigoyen.F.C got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Feliz. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cura del Futbol fans cheered their team off the field, for while Yrigoyen.F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
