But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvino Tinto couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute Sixto Aimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sixto Aimar in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santos Orlan saved El Fortín de Floresta from getting behind. Santos Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Lauren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucio Stanislao might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Orlondon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucio Stanislao ran back to his position shaking his head. 35 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Chesus came free, but Santos Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonzalo Chesus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Orlan having to interfere. Miguel Orlondon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Hats in the 41st minute of play. Santos Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Lauren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Perros del sur's Mario Mandzukic was substituted for Gonzalo Chesus. Miguel Orlondon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucio Stanislao in the 67th minute of the match. Marcos Lauren struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Santos Orlan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perros del sur. El Fortín de Floresta were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Perros del sur for a fine match.
